🌿About Us...

Chef Ivy Lum – Founder of Ivory Cakes Baking & Cooking School
Message from the founder, Chef Ivy...

From Silence to Whisking Dreams...

Ivory Cakes Baking & Cooking School began with quiet hope...
A dream carried deep inside me for many years.

I was born with mild autism… though I didn’t know until much later
in life.
Growing up, I often felt overwhelmed and unsure where I belonged.

In the stillness of my kitchen, something shifted.
Through food… its warmth, memory, and meaning…
I found my way back to myself.

I trained in Community Services, Disability Support,
and Entrepreneurship and New Business.
Each step, each challenge, and each lived experience
has shaped the school you see today.

Ivory’s is more than a school.
It is a gentle, inclusive space where teenagers and young adults with autism and disabilities can learn to bake, cook, and grow in confidence.

Here, we celebrate small steps…
We move at different paces…
And we believe that with patience and the right environment, real skills and confidence can flourish.

This is only the beginning…
but it is a journey walked with purpose, care, and heart.

With love,
Chef Ivy (Ivory)
Founder, Ivory’s Baking & Cooking School

🌿The Dream Behind Ivory Cakes

Ivory Cakes began with a quiet wish…
a dream whispered in the kitchen and carried through years of healing.

It was never just about baking.
It was about creating a place where people feel safe, seen,
and proud of what they make with their own hands.

Today, that dream has grown into a school.
Not just for skills, but for confidence.
Not just for recipes, but for rising.

Welcome to a space where dreams are kneaded gently…
and joy is always on the menu.
